A Useful Tip

No silliness this time, blog friends. Here is a tip many of you may not know about yet and it is quite useful.

Since February 5, Blogger now does pages like WordPress, minus the tabs. If you look above this post, you will see the pages I have set up in blue. Click on “Currently Reading” and you will see a page that shows what I’m, er, reading currently. Click on “Home” and it will bring you right back here.

You will find “Edit Pages” on the Posting tab, the same place you go to do a new post. They are easy to set up, you can have ten of them, and they are great for cleaning up a crowded sidebar. Ideas for a page:

“About”—you can write your entire life story.

“100 Things About Me”—for those who have done this meme.

“Favorite Posts”—either yours or the readers, or both, with a link to each post.

Book bloggers especially should find many uses for pages (not a pun).

This tip is brought to you by . . .

WordPress kicks it, though. IMHO.

[sigh] Just about the time I get something figured out, it gets "improved". I am always behind the curve, it seems. (Though the tip you gave me to eliminate using Notepad at an intermediary for posting was very useful, thanks).

Why do I have this feeling you've seen soemthing too cluttered and this is your way of saying we need to clean up our pages? No matter what, your tips are always welcome!

I tend to 'if it ain't broke...'
I used to have a side bar full of lovely awards aided by my granddaughter, then I got brave and added one myself and lost them all.
No regrets;)

What Robert said, and Stinkypaw. And my heart goes out to Pat.

I'm going to try this, Charlie, but I'll have to wait for a time when I'm less occupied doing other stuff. (I've been messing around, putting Stumble links on my blog, so I've run out of play time as others in this family are whining about how THEY never get to go on the internet).

I've got to stop procrastinating!

Well this is a great feature; dare I play around with my blog (see panic setting in).

BTW...I noticed you are reading This Is Where I Leave You, hope you are enjoying it! I'll be waiting to hear your thought.

Have a great week Charlie.

Oh Jesus no! It took me long enough to get mine the (simple) way it is, and like Pat, I'll leave it that way for now!

Anyway, how are you Charles? Keeping well I hope. :¬)
