Bublé, however, is a throwback to the days when us older folks were stumbling around in the desert following Moses. We may have been lost directionally, but we had the greatest side men around to entertain us at the club tent every night (except Friday and Monday). Not many people know this, but we finally found Israel by following Tin Pan Alley.
Geez, sometimes I'm so full of shit I amaze me.
So why does this video have such an affect on me? Because it makes me FEEL GOOD. And each time I listen to it with a REAL orchestra I FEEL GOODER still.
I think all of you should take 4 minutes of your life, watch the video, and FEEL GOOD along with me.

Michael Buble' has indeed taken the spotlight in my music appreciation ever since Mel Torme passed away. Congratulations on your find -- he does it right!
Weren't you with us out in the desert, Jerry? I could swear you were the guy schlepping the trombone cases.
Good to hear you're feeling good.
My Sinatra fan wife (I like some of his stuff) introduced me to Mr. Buble. I just checked my itunes library and this one is in there. Thanks for re-introducing. It has some great horns in it.
Oh what happened on Friday and Monday nights in the tent?
...And he is Canadian...And his younger sister is an actress who had a prominent role in my new favourite show, Cold Squad!
I like Bublé! He's like a younger ME!!
No. Really. He's THAT good! :¬)
Oh Vanity!!
He DOES have more hair though, which wouldn't be hard. And he is more Canadian than The Map! :¬)
come by my place for some more music, sugar! xoxox
On Friday nights, we all went to synagogue. On Monday night, the tent was dark—lousiest night of the week for business, plus the guys had to give their lips a rest.
Yes, WC, I know he's Canucklian—Vancouver, I think. You did a masterful job of ignoring your opinion of his music, which I'm guessing is not good. That's okay—everyone is entitled to a wrong opionion.
I didn't know you guys did big band arrangements; I'm impressed.
As far as hair, if you stick to CDs and radio, it doesn't make a damn bit of difference.
Your command is my wish.
I'm feelin' gooooood
Michael Buble's voice is orgasmic. I adore him, I started listening to him because I love Frank Sinatra, but BUble has a mark of his own.
Check out "Lost"
What can I say, you do have good taste, at least when it comes to Canadians! ;-)
I like Micheal Buble' as well. Great music of all kind is lovely!! I'm so happy you're well today; Professor. :)
Hi, I was introduced to your blog from another poster who wrote about you, the domesticated bohemian, and I am thankful to him for that. I have really enjoyed your blog. I am commenting not so much on this post but on your preface or "note" you have at the beginning of your page.
I have read something similiar from you before. Your "final" set was heart wrenching, and I am glad it turned out you can still post some as I am SURE everyone it, but it feels as if you are almost apologizing for "crying wolf" I do not think your final goodbye posts were for ratings at all.
I think you truly care about this blog and the readers and at that point in time felt your health was going to hinder you more than it has. Hey, that is a GREAT thing and I look forward to as many as you feel you have the energy to squeeze out.
Don't feel like because we all were mesmerized by your "final" blogs and cried ourselves into rivers (LOL) that you needed to have stayed gone. Keep on Keeping on! Write as much as you can write for as long as it is theraputic for you or adds something to your life, because your work certainly adds a LOT to the lives of us, your readers.
Thank you!
Oh yes! My favourite Canadian Crooner! He's a sweetie, that Bublè is!!!! I've not seen him in concert but have heard he puts on a damn good show. You've got great taste, Charlie!!
Yeah, Actually I have always like that song. Has a lot of "hope" in it.
Hey Charlie, it's early morning here in Blighty and this post was the first thing I looked at today - Philip & I sat in bed listening to the song from my phone and while I still wait to be convinced about Buble, it nevertheless made a very fine start to the day - thank you.
Charlie, I don't know about any Moses analogies, but I think you might be the Frank Sinatra of bloggers. The mass appeal! The phrasing! The many many comebacks (and that's a good thing!)
PS Working on a very very old PC I have no sound card to appreciate the Buble...
So glad you liked it . It felt fitting at the time. I've had my eye on him and he seems a sweet guy.
I don't (or didn't) really like Michael Bublè, but this is good. I guess he is much better than I thought; I will have to look up more of his stuff. :D
Charlie! I love, love, love this song, thank you so much for sharing the video. And I'm glad to know you're feeling well enough to post a blog, (knew you would ;) ). I hope you're having a feel good day today too.
It is a good song, that one. Although I have to say I persnoally prefer the Nina Simone version:

I LOVE Michael Buble for that very reason...orchestral backing! I grew up with a Dad who loved Perry Como and his buddies, so to this day, the sound of a full orchestra makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
Think I have all of Buble's stuff thus far. I've always had a eclectic musical taste but sometimes, a girl just wants to listen to a guy sing soft...with real words and music. Thanks Charlie!
He has potential, and if he keeps at it and doesn't get seduced by the fame trap, in, say, twenty years or so he could be as good as Nina Simone.
Is it naked snow shoveling day already?
**cough, cough** You know, I'm pretty sure I've never heard a singer's voice described as, uh, er, orgasmic, so I'll take your word for it.
As far as "Lost," forty years was enuf. About every five years I'd look around and say, "Doesn't this place look familiar?"
There's lots and lots of talented Canadians, Stinky.
Not well, exactly, but good enough to feel good. And your happiness makes me happy: 'tis contagious.
supppppper coool!
Trina
You just like him because he's cute! Admit it!
I teased Pat a bit about this (I'd just had a humongous Nina Simone fix) but you're right, it's good to feel good.
You keep on keeping on!
Love it. Thank for sharing and thank you for your funny, interesting posts.
I'm so sorry you had weren't feeling well yesterday; Charlie. Hopefully today was a much better day for you and you were feeling better. Hugs!
Dear Charlie, this is indeed a song to make us feel good. I took 8 minutes so far to feel good, as I have watched and listened two times. Thanks for reminding me about this great song. It is relaxing and gosh, even an old hippie gal like me can understand the words to the song. How about then apples!
Not my normal listening regime, but worth a listen. Hope all well with you. Take care.
hey charlie if you are up and round blogland please stop by and share some wisdom. It's always welcomed.
Comment made on a very good post, l-man.
Congrats on dropping a video into the comments! It was the big band sound I liked, not necessarily Buble's arrangement. I agree that Simone is good.
thanks
Just wanted to send some Love to you and everyone in Arizona (yes, including those who passed the terrible anti-immigrant laws, and who frighten me no less than people with guns do)...
Keep this feeling-good stuff coming, Charlie. We all need it.
And why not enjoy it? It's great music and he's got a great voice!
Pearl
Ooh I love Michael Buble'. Hope you're doing ok sweetie. xx
I love you, Charlie!!! And I don't care if Martha knows.
(give her a hug for me)
Holy cow, St Jude! I've been missing and missing you, and I hope you're feeling a bit better since the loss of the Captain . . .
Arizona can use all the love it can get since it has a very short suppy of it. Thank you for caring.
Hmm, I'm getting there, the stroke in September was a bit of a set back but I'm a tough old boot. By the way sweetie, I have a new blog home. Long story.
