Lousy photographer that I am, I was attempting something artsy-fartsy with this picture. Something along the lines of Michelangelo's Pietà, except Martha is no longer a virgin.
For those who haven't visited this blog before, Martha is on the left and Irish is on the right (he has red hair and freckles around his whiskers).
My two beloveds:
It breaks my heart to think of leaving them behind.
And if there is time for goodbyes, what do we say?

And both are adorable! What a nice way to start my weekend.
Your two beloveds are beautiful, and they love you too. Perfect. It is a nice picture. And it is sorta artsy fartsy.
I love this picture, Charlie. It might not have worked quite as you envisioned it, but I did think of Michelangelo when I saw it... :-)
The two most beautiful beings in your life!
Irish looks like a teddy bear. And Martha is gorgeous! You're one lucky man, Charlie.
they're both gorgeous, sugar! xoxoxox
I love this photo! Irish is such a cutie - kind a like a big teddy bear and not a doggy - and Martha looks great!
I understand those feelings about animals. Great photo.
Aww...now you've made me go all smushy inside. What a lovely picture. And, btw, even after raising one of the human kind, our dog is our kid too. An 8 year old baby, spoiled just right. People who don't get it just don't get it. Their loss.
Beautiful! :¬)
Wonderful :)
Charlie he's gorgeous! If I didn't know better I'd want one too!
Totally adorable picture, Charlie.... of both "Pets".
My heart just grew three sizes! What a lovely family you have, Charlie.
Martha is special lady to offer her grace and beauty to your blog. I suspect Irish would be willing to pose for just a bacon treat.
Despite your talent (or lack of) it is a nice pict. of your family!
Aren't you the lucky one? That photo conveys so much. I could drool over Irish and Martha - as we know - is a smasher.
Aw, so glad you are all back.
You have beautiful beloveds! Our dog, Max, was an only child for 6 years until his human brother moved in last fall. I feel for our 'first-born' because I know he's gotten shafted.
