SEE YA LATER

There are no words to describe what your tributes (Kim, Savannah, Philip, Fay, Pat, Wandering Coyote and Stinkypaw), comments, and cards have meant to me.

You all were his best friends, confidants and supporters for many years and I thank you all.

I have printed out all of the blogs and am keeping them close.

I open up Charlie’s blog and he comes alive again. We never liked to have our pictures taken so going back over the years of his blog is like his picture album of the last several years. I miss not having the Admiral Pooper Scooper writing.

I would always say ‘see ya later’ or ‘later’ when I would leave the house---never goodbye. I knew the time would come when ‘later’ would mean a lot longer than a few hours, but that was my way of dealing with the reality of Charlie dying. It just wasn’t going to happen now, but of course my Charlie died and it will probably be more than a few hours before we meet again.

Thank You All.

Love,
Martha

What a lovely man was 'our' Charles! But he was most definitely mostly (99.999999999999%) YOURS!

My heart is with you Martha.

A lovely man, indeed. He who shared in International Kim Ayres' Day a while back, and who touched folks all over this fine blue planet.

Charlie touched so many people, enriched so many lives. I will be forever grateful to have called him friend.  I hope that his blog continues to keep his spirit bright and to bring you comfort, Martha.  I know it does for me.

Thinking of you...

Charlie's writings warmed all our hearts. He could make us laugh and cry - sometimes in the same sentence. He is sorely missed. My thoughts are with you, Martha.

((hugs))

Although I often referred to you as "St. Martha", I know that you were Charlie's own special angel.  Thank you for sharing him with us.  We miss him too and our love goes out to you.

I was deeply saddened to read of Charlies passing.  He joked about it so often over the years I was lulled in to a sense of "Nahhh not Charlie" Charlie was such a huge supporter of my writing, one of the first to read and comment on my blog 6 or 7 years ago. He would email me and tell me every thing an insecure writer would need to hear so they could go on and write another day.  I am truly sorry for your loss Martha,  and I wish I could give you a hug, you both were really special to me and I looked so forward to his stories about you and his life and that ever lasting love he had for you. There isn't a time that I write that I don't think of Charlie and hope he is reading what I've written, and it will always be so.  Take care Martha,  Sending my love to both you and Admiral Pooper Scooper xoxox

I don't know how often you still come by here to remember.  Me, I still miss Charlie's great comments on my blog.  Tonight Charlie came up in a search.  Another blogger I follow had discovered "Playing for Change".  I knew I had posted a song from that movement and went searching for it.  I found the post (March 2010) and discovered that it was Charlie that introduced me to the movement.  I just wanted to share that little story with you.  All the best.
